As a part of their State Visit to the Solomon Islands, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Satyanand, visited the Sir Jacob Vouza Memorial at Honiara on 3 October 2009. At the memorial, the Governor-General laid a wreath in honour of the Solomon Islands' greatest war hero. Their Excellencies are pictured with Honiara Girl Guides who provided a Guard of Honour.
