Visit to Canada and New York

In April-May 2008, the Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand, travelled to North America. The Governor-General made the first State Visit by a New Zealand Governor-General to Canada before heading to New York where he visited the United Nations and received the Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award on behalf of New Zealand.
